Thanks, @Expedite69 . My name is Rob and I manage our social media responsiveness...among a few other things =)
I've read through all the threads from the last couple years that we've been tagged in... and to your point, there's an abundance of useful insight. My role now is to do the best I can to provide greater clarity into who we are and what we do as we move forward.
Gordon Trucking is now a part of our Heartland Express brand (which you already know). Now, however, there's no distinction between a "GTI" driver and a "Heartland Express" driver. All our drivers are Heartland Express drivers. Some drivers may still feel aligned with the GTI brand, but like with any acquisition (in any industry), it takes time to get acquainted with a new team. -
You too, @Expedite69! Thanks for all you've added thus far.
You're correct. We do not have a lease-purchase program. -
I assume he couldn't take making excuses anymore and quit.
Had to be a difficult job trying to convince all of us that what we were experiencing really wasn't happening or if it was it wasn't heartlands fault.
I tell you as I told him. Heartland has never been a company that I would ever consider driving for. I have worked with and met a lot of former Heartland drivers over the years and none have had anything good to say about the company.
I bet you I could walk into any truck stop across America today and loudly ask if there were any drivers present who had a bad experience at Heartland and 5 or 6 would speak up.
When Gordon sold I asked every heartland driver I saw about you and only found one who had any positive feedback but he was on your driver review board or something like that.Western flyer Thanks this. -

The original owners still own the Freightliner dealerships up there but not the trucking company. -

Hi i was approved today with heartland to run the fl to ga account . just what i was looking for. im old school driver , and dont need 3000 mls so 2000 or so would be fine with me. got 33yrs safe driving ,great doc report .and lins# plus very good refs . moved to florida 3 years ago and drove for a company 6 mos till work got to slow .trailers left them for dump truck job that payed more for 7 months now, but want to go back on road to make more money, yull know fl local pay LOL. but was told that i would have to go out with a trainer for a while at heartland if i wanted the job ,i found that funny here you have a guy with 33yrs of safe driving old school driver , just looking for a good company to work for the next 15 years, and you want him to go with a trainer, for what ever time the trainer thinks im readyt to see if i can drive, no disrespect but i see no point in that with all the yrs i have driving trailers.and i know all about quil com and e logs how to work them ,plus driving with someone i dont know , not comfortable with that, so i said no thanks , was kinda looking forward working with heartland ,if there was no trainer i would have taken it.
Western flyer Thanks this. -
How long did we say you'd be with a trainer? I could be wrong, but I'm suspecting there's a gap in your recent driving history?
