Congrats to you, tell everyone where your wonderful job is so everyone can come there! I assume 3000 miles too, right?

I live in SC. It is now early spring. It was in the upper 80s this weekend. And the humidity in the SE can be stifling, so this comment is really silly.
I was with Heartland about a decade ago. Good equipment. Good mileage rate. Not enough miles to make up for the higher cpm. And to me, with a family, their insurance was horrid. I actually entertained returning to them to run their SE region earlier this year when I left SNI, but their insurance was still horrid.busbee89 Thanks this. -
Agreed 48Packard, you would and could idle there too.

3200 miles per week..YRC frieght LTL ......no,everybody dont need to come here either...More frieght and miles for me if ya'll stay
away....
-
As long as they stay in business.
-
that can be said about any company
-
YRC is & has been on shaky financial ground for a while...

YRC..? Teamsters....? Union Job....?
For the record I want to tell you driver I've got my "Class A license" (as it was called back in the day) when I was 20 in 1971.
Diesel fuel was 19 cents a gallon, power steering was an option on tractors AC was required if you ran over 500 miles in 1 direction.
That was a Kaiser unit that sat through the roof of your "cab over" with 2 side nozzels for driver & co-driver.
Teamster union jobs were plentiful nothing move back then unless it was regulated under a union carrier.
That's ALL GONE.
I've had 2 Teamster job, both carriers are long gone, UPS which contributed big payments for it's drivers benefits, "BOUGHT THE PENSION" from Teamsters and control their own drivers benefits and pension.
There's only a handful of union carriers around, and there's not enough going in to pay benefits & pension, for those who have or will retire in the future.
The "Top Brass" in the union live big off your dues, & benefits payments which you have no say over.
YRC good short term but don't plan to retire they won't be around, unless you find another union driving job.
Teamster has all your money & credits, which you'll never collect on because you didn't finish to retire.
Foot Note:
Back in the day Yellow Freight struggled & spent their profit on make'n bad deals.
They borrowed money from other carriers to stay in business.
The "big shots" back then did that to help each other out freight was plentiful, and "pay back" arrangements were made.
I was a line haul driver for McLean Trucking Co. Malcom McLean loaned Yellow Freight money to stay in Business.
Mclean Trucking was sold to ABF, because the Government told Malcom "he could own a trucking company, and steamship company (SEA LAND) at the same time, that was a monopoly"
ABF kept McLean running for the better part of 5 years for "Tax Right Off" then closed the doors.
Today Roadway & Yellow Freight are merged who's call'n the shots to stay in business ? The economy is different with manufacturing done over sea's.
Teamsters will keep their arm around your shoulder, while the got their hand in your Pocket..! -
Yea I get it ..you sound like a parrot...Like I said before and I only said it because { truthin } asked...I make 55cpm and I get paid for EVERYTHING in my " real world " driving job to this day... say whatever you want about YRC or the teamsters..I'm not sitting on a dock waiting to unload for free...and no driver should be putting up with all this BS the bottom feeder companies do to drivers....
bigjoel Thanks this.
