Heater on 579..

    Have an issue with the heater only blowing truly hot air when i put temp knob up to 80 degrees. .other it blows cool air..what could be the issue?

    Is your water temp normal or running cool ?
    Or, you talking bunk heater ?

    Haven't ever touched them...have had trk for going on yr and never had this issue before..

    That hvac system has had actuator problems. Have a dealer run the test with ESA program. There could also be a software update.

    Most likely a blend door actuator issue. There were a bunch of faulty actuators and also the possibly of a broken door.
    This does involve digging deeper into the dash so if you aren't experienced, a shop would likely diag it quicker and cheaper. Heater box.png

    ESA would be best bet to narrow down issue. Above picture is great for reference........if you are working on a Freightliner M2 chassis.
