That humidity makes the heat much worse. Tennessee has bad humidity, but not as bad as Georgia. Over in the Southwest is dry heat which makes it bearable.

Not a good idea to pick up anything metal that has been laying in the sun, either...
Believe it or not, you do get used to it, and learn certain coping skills. Notice I said nothing about getting to LIKE it however.Zeviander, Lepton1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Well, I did trade 9 months of summer for 3 months lol. I'll make it work. Alaska is pretty brutal. Not sure I could handle that. My brother was in the Army stationed up there. He did like it but is back down in Florida now. I guess he didn't love it.

I'm just complaining to complain. I like it here. I can deal with a couple unbearable months for the rest of the year being beautiful. Only thing I don't like here is we don't get snow. Maybe a little ice here and there but no snow.rocknroll81 Thanks this.

A friend of mine that lives in Phoenix say's the same, he'll put up with a few months of the heat for the rest of the year being great.Lepton1 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Most places it's a dry heat. I have been in both and the humidity in the South is more brutal.
rocknroll81 Thanks this. -
This...100% this!!!
I absolutely despise winter and any temperature below 50 degrees. I'll gladly take 3 months of 100 degree heat as long as I never have to shovel snow or scrape my Jeep ever again.
Cold weather sucks...Rocks, Big Don and rocknroll81 Thank this.
