I'm starting a little mesquite tree farm in the yards from seeds from my tree. I think everyone should have a tree in their truck. They needs lots of sunlight though, so probably will only work for night drivers, you can leave out during the day while your asleep.

Correction from previous post. They are now saying it will only be 108+ for the next 7 days.

Now she just upped it to 109+, can't trust anyone anymore.

Only thing good about summers in Arizona is that ADOT is nowhere to be found, too hot for them to do level 1 in Benson

Oh no. They have guys doing roadsides all the time between Phoenix & Tucson. Typically it's not random, they saw something.
    Especially east bound.

Neither rain nor snow, nor freezing temperatures, nor blast furnace temperatures shall keep these dedicated men and women from making their appointed rounds! Oh never mind, that is for postal carriers.:D

OH DPS has very nice Expeditions for cruisers. I'm sure the AC works great in them. They sit in places that are sometimes shade, sometimes not. They are getting new grey & black colors as well, those are basically invisible when they are posted up under an overpass and the sun is up.

Yeah, when BIL was stuck out in that God forsaken place, (MY words, not his,) he always had an unmarked. They used a lot of them out there on 40, all across the state.
"Arizona is NOT a destination state, all these drivers are just busting balls to get to California." From his supervisor...
Oh, guess I'd better add that this was back in the '70's...

The cows are definitely milking much slower in this heat at some of the dairies. I was loading up two long haul guys per day at the organic barn up in Perryton. Now it's been one silo coming off every 16-20 hours.

But then once the temps take a swan dive in November and the ice starts limiting the truck to snails pace, the dairyman will be grunting about "where's those trailers!??!?".

Why don't they provide the cows with decent working conditions, like AC in the summer and heating in the winter?

Where are the animal rights advocates for the poor dairy cows?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
