    Tucson is "cooler" than Phoenix and it rains a lot more. Probably the only lowland city in Arizona I could live.

    I've seen many a truck on the side of the road in the last month-it's been in the 90's across the desert between Phx & LA.

    Oh yea, that's the temp on I 10 on the highway, add 40 degrees at the road surface to the 125. They sand the residential neighborhoods so the don't get all dug & rutted up. It is that F hot.
    Asphalt Base is the rocky gritty stuff you see most drop yards made out of. When compacted its almost like concrete. Guess where you find it most? Asphalt Base, guess, under the road way perhaps?

    That super heated road surface along with a loaded truck tire at high speeds is a blow out waiting to happen.

    Why is a retired billionaire sleeping in the lounge?
    You know Dan England loved trucking so much, he would hit the road with the wife every few months. He had this white Century with a giant trailer decal on either side of it. Said " The King of England " on it.
    Twin stack 600HP, fuel economy be dammed.
