    Dollars mean nothing without knowing the details. My guess is this load, should he go thru with it, will end up costing him more than he THINKS he's going to make off of it.

    I like looking at old school truck specs. Interesting to see when freight haulers ran 290's against 10 speeds with 4.33's out back. I never do see old school heavy haul trucks for sale; just in magazines n at old truck shows.

    Anybody from the time period when 238/225/250/290 horse was big power care to share driveline specs? I'd be interested to hear.

    I've done it in an R-model with a 300 and a 10 with deep reduction. All south of 120K though...

    I bet they probably ran 5x4 with like a 5.29 or deeper axle ratio.
