heavy ocean container a reduceable load?

    As everyone else said, if it's going to or from a port and it's sealed, you can get an overweight permit. 100,000 pounds on 5 axles in FL and GA.

    I believe it's 85k on 20ft. tri-axles in GA.... That's with a permit...

    Heavy container loads pay the same as light ones after you use up the fuel differences.

    It really depends on the Steamship line. An Apl load paying overweight may never come close to Another SS going to the same place..

    Hamburg-Sud, Maersk, CMA, Hanjin, and Cosco are pretty much the only one that pay good. oocl, evergreen, and the rest are ok besides APL.

    You are running the wrong kind of freight then driver. I see $6 mile on containers over 48k, compared to the $1.50 mile crap you see out of the ports. Then again, I don't haul for your usual customers either.

    Time me for you to get new customers
