Thanks for all you do Heavyd!
I'm getting the same code on an 09 Prostar, there was so much info on this thread I am confident I can figure this out. Incidentally there is a problem with the aux power on the dash and the A/C quit working. I am positive they are all related. We will find out. Thanks again

Hello Guys . Needs help here . I have 2009 international prostar maxxforce13 . From couple days while running hwy I get STOP ENGINE SIGN . After waiting little bit truck runs again for few hours than same thing happens again . Took to dealership they couldn't find any code . So no fix. Today while STOP ENGINE I got into screen and found new code . Please advise with this one SPN 8353 FMI 7 .

Double check that code. There is no 8353 Spn codes for the engine.
Sony Thanks this. -

Heavyd I also have a 2011 prostar Cummins it losses throttle while driving after 5 to 8 sec it come back n starts accelerating I hold the paddle down or I stomp on it Cummins dealer already changed new turbo, n turbo accelerator, dpf filter/ egr valve/ air charger cooler/ I map sensor/ delta p senor /exhaust back prasure sensor / but I don't get no code no triangle light or engine stop light

Should have Insite connected to read what the ECM is seeing for throttle percentage. Could be a wiring problem.

One thing I like to mention that from fews weeks truck is losing coolant about 2 letters a day. No leak found even dealer couldnt find any thing. Stop ENGINE start showing after the coolant issue. Are they linked? I am posting the dealer report as well . Thanks . Looking forward to hear from you. -

99% of the time, it is the EGR cooler. Even though they did take the piping off, the leak is too small to cause coolant traces at this point. It will pass a pressure test at any temp lower than full operating temp because the little crack closes up when cold. This is why it passed the pressure test. The only way to confirm a cooler is to wait until it gets worse and leaves stains or streaks in the piping. I could be an intercooler or may be the air compressor.
Sorry about the code, I must have clicked into the wrong engine book. That is a high pressure fueling fault. The ECM is having a hard time getting the pressure to where it wants. Could be aerated fuel, suction restriction, bad rail pressure sensor, faulty pump, or rubbed wires. This will turn the red stop engine light on.Sony Thanks this. -
Thank you Heavyd. I got the idea .
