Hi, everyone,
Well, I'm not actually in So Cal right now, but hope to be in a few days.
For me, getting into trucking was a "late-in-life" career change. My background was mostly in accounting and Corporate Management for various companies (not truck-related). Then I got a wild idea in 2005 that residential real estate sales was what I wanted to do. Did ok for a while, but then you know what happened to that market. So here I am driving OTR for Con-Way Truckload---and love it. Wish I had done it years ago.
While on the road, I occasionally get inspired and make up a little poem. Nothing serious usually, just fun. I may post some of them once in a while. At home, the wife and I like to go to our local casino (Morongo Casino in Cabazon, CA - near the Banning scales) and just spend time together.
I didn't even know about this forum until a couple days ago, when I ran across a link to it from another website. Looking forward to lots of fun and info here.
See you somewhere on the highways.
