Hello All! Yet another newbie here...

Greetings to all who may actually read this post!

I'm a total newbie, currently with a permit and close to taking the driving test here in sunny SoCal. I actually stumbled across this site while looking for practice tests and the information available here has been eye opening to say the least. While I'd like to say that I have a solid plan mapped out to reach my goal of obtaining the practical experience required to qualify for the more desirable (for me at least) positions, alas I do not... Not yet that is.

One of the aspects of this forum which I find encouraging is the apparent willingness of the community to offer real world and honest advice and information to all, from the newbie to the most seasoned professional. This is something you just don't find all that often, particularly nowadays. How cool is that?

On a personal note; I'm 52, live in Ventura County, CA, and I did drive professionally for a few years back in the early 80's.

Thanks already for what I've read and learned, and thanks in advance for for the direction and/or advice I may gain moving forward with this endeavor.
