Hi all. I came across this forum while doing research for the company I am going to. I am from Lexington, NC. I have been a driver for almost a year now. I currently drive local pulling a curtain-side flatbed. Due to lack of work and low pay scale along with lies and empty promises from my company I have chosen to go OTR. This is my first post on here but I have done a lot of reading and research. There seems to be a ton of valuable information on this forum and experienced members seem eager to help. Because of that, I would like to start by thanking all of you for the help and advice you have already given me even though I just signed up. I look forward to getting to know many of you and hope that I am able to use the other sections of this forum to help someone else out down the road. Deciding to go OTR is a pretty big decision as you all know so you can understand my nervousness and apprehension. However, I am getting that behind me and trying to remain positive and excited about my new opportunity.
I intend on making some more posts in the near future about myself and my progress at the new job. I can't wait to hear everyone's feedback and personal opinions. For now, good luck to all of you, God Bless, and drive safe!
