New to the forum, been lurking for a while.
Driving a truck has always been what I wanted to do, even from a young age. When I was a kid I would go with my cousin during the summer. He pulled flatbed.
I got my CDL A in 2007 with CRST. After only about 5 months, I had to get out of the truck to take care of some personal stuff at home. Life happened and I found a good job that isn't driving.
However, I never let my CDL lapse and everyday I wish I was back out there on the road. I have made the decision to go back OTR, even if that means taking a slight decrease in pay. Sometimes the money just ISN'T worth it! LOLI'm trying to get on with Maverick right now, but I know better than to put all my eggs in one basket.
So if anyone can give me names of any other companies that will hire drivers who haven't driven OTR in about 4 years, I would be thankful. That's my story....hope to see y'all around. Stay safe and God bless

Welcome to the forum and good luck to you.
I'm thinking since you've been away for that long, a refresher course may not apply. May have to start over. Best thing you can do is probably talk to as many companies as you can and that will give you some direction. -
I'm afraid that even with a refresher, my choices are limited

idk if TMC is training or not, might have to start out with dare i say, the bottom feeders get your time back in then doors open. Swift, Schnieder, JB Hunt, Werner, etc. Refresher should be all you have to do since if i read post right you still have hard cdl. Good luck.
