For example: ' candidates'. We are drivers. A lot of us are experienced CDL drivers. ' candidates' is borderline insulting and a turn -off in my opinion.

    Lilbit and MJ1657 Thank this.

No insult intended. In recruitment, there are 2 terms: "applicants" are those who apply for the job and then "candidates" those who have applied and are going through the interview process. So if you are a "candidate" that's actually a good thing. I can refer to all of you as "drivers," however, I thought that would actually be insulting to you.

I have a smart evil mind. I want to haul things for you, and make a living at it. I'm a Trucker, :biggrin_25523:I play this day after day. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Would it be helpful if I just posted a general job description and some of the perks of working for us (benefits, pay, etc.)?

I am really hoping I am being nice, I would kinda think I would get off a keyboard, and go out in the real world. Co Driver. Go learn. Or be like the rest of them. I bet your better.

I agree...in fact, one of my goals is to do a "ride-along" with one of the drivers so I can really get some real life perspective. The challenge with that is them getting that scheduled. Until then, I'm trying to learn the best ways I can think of.

Hello, I put in for a position in Garyville, la the customer delivery specialist at beginning of the month and I haven't heard anything yet. I'm wondering how the hiring process works? On the online questionaire I accidentally put I was under 24 years of age, so I am thinking that's why I haven't heard back from them. I have since then fixed that mistake and hope to hear from them soon seems like a great opportunity
