Actually, Cali and the entire West Coast is one of the better places to run with a neutered/castrated truck (governed - applies to all company trucks) 'cause if you get a ticket you can only blame yourself and no one will get very upset with you 'cause they aren't going any faster than you either. All companies have a really tedious idle policy too and Cali Commies will come find you and take you away if you idle more than 5mins anyway. Companies are tilting more in favor of new people vs. exp drivers anyway to help maintain an overall positive cash flow.
