Hello to all here:

I have been reading on this site for some time now,and decided to join in the conversation.

I started my career in 1979 driving for an outfit called ledo trucking. The owners had trucks leased to Ligon.

Their trucks were GMC astro 95's with 290's and 9-speeds. No jakes. What A fun time we had with those!!

Our trailers were 40ft. transcrafts.

That's how I started, and it only got more interesting as the years went by. I joined because truckers are my

second family. second only to my wife and kids. Being disabled, this is the one way I can still B/S with other

drivers, and talk trucks. Thank you all.
