Wonder who it is this time?
I've confirmed that Craig's desk is EMPTY at the 3rd Floor. Apparently he's had some "Other Opportunities" arise that he wanted to try out.
and Unbiased Opinion: Pick one. J.B. Hunt H.Q. or Wal-Mart Home office? I'd like to work in the main office of Fortune's #1 (almost annually now) ranked company in the WORLD. I already work at what is supposedly among Fortune's most admired.
and to be honest with you, If I had experience and license endorsements to work that 70-80k a year position, i'd do it. At least that's not commission-based.

I hope you do nail down that big-money job. But maybe you can snatch JB_Buddy's job inside. Or maybe Biased Opinion's. That'd be poetic justice, and we'd have to celebrate here.
This brings me back to a question I've already asked:
Why do some of the Jobby recruiters engage in risky behavior? You yourself have seen some led out the door. Why would anyone with half a brain risk an 80K job by doing things he knows will get him canned?
It's all very mysterious to me. -
The reason he is looking for another job at a company that does not suck like JB does is that he has seen the light that you have not seen.
-
Tip, I find you quite amusing at times. Everyone is out to get you huh?
Unbiased just keeps on shoving his foot in his mouth. No surprise that that guy is about as biased as one can be here. Sounds like he's had a lot of practice at lying.
And just because my IP address is coming from Hunt, does not mean that Im biased toward Hunt. Have you ever thought that I may be an office grunt who has absolutely nothing to do with recruiting or even dealing with the drivers? Of course not, but as soon as someone says thats where the IP is coming from, Im automatically a recruiter. Thanks you guys for letting someone who is interested in the trucking industry, come to a board and post their opinions without getting crap.

Poetic justice to take my job? Tip, you jump to way too many conclusions. Personally, I loathe how much trucking companies spend on recruiters. I find it absolutely ridiculous that companies will spend that much money on trying to recruit new drivers instead of spending it on the ones that give a ###### about their job. Tip, just keep jumping to those conclusions -
I'll keep on jumping to those conclusions, absolutely. This is because I'm dead on about 95% of the time.
You loathe how much companies spend on recruiters? You're all alone as an insider, as companies would have cut that cost years ago if everyone thought this way. It's obvious some love high turnover and want the present status to remain quo.
No pitiful little ad-hominem attack is gonna scare me off. You keep on dreaming about those pitchforks. -
"No pitiful little ad-hominem attack is gonna scare me off. You keep on dreaming about those pitchforks."
Excuse me?....but I'm not trying to do anything to scare anyone off. And if you'll take a step back and look at the pitchfork thing...I was refering to how people can get their panties all in a wad b/c I work at JB. Tip, you're delusional to think that you're dead on 95% of the time. -
You work inside at JobHunt, yet you aren't even biased towards the company? The confused, delusional one is YOU, pal. It's good you've been hanging around here reading but not contributing. Someone would have shut you down a while ago.
This guy Biased thinks you guys are idiots.
Unbiased insider. Give me a ####### break. -
And for you assume that I think people on this post are idiots, is another one of your conclusions. -
Take it easy guys! While I understand that most people that work for a company are somewhat biased towards the company they work for, some ARE NOT! My hubby has worked for companies that neither of us would recommend to anyone, not even our worst enemies.
The truth is, it is a good thing for us to have JB's "insiders" here. If we let them see our complaints, air our greivances, then maybe, just maybe some things can be changed. Isn't that the goal?
I know if I were working for a company that I knew was despised as much as JB can be, I would come to someplace like this. My reasoning would be fairly simple. "Maybe if I can find out what the issues are, I can work on fixing some of them."
Communication is everything in an industry like this one, and to communicate without opposing veiwpoints is valueless.
Ladies and Gentlemen, your abilities to state your point of veiw is admirable. As long as we continue to discuss the issues involved without getting too personal, we're doing GREAT! -
Good post.
I'm afraid the individual that is looking to make things better at a place like JB is pretty much beating their head on a brick wall. Change from a place like JB, Swift etc has got to come from a change of heart at the head of the organization and then down. When the CEOs at the top realize that without drivers they would have NOTHING then things will change. As long as they do not care about their drivers enough to do some quality driver retention nothing will ever change.
