Knowing JB Hunt, they probably made you pay for the yellow ribbon, out of your own pocket.

There was word the day before from the dispatcher saying that we could purchase ribbons for our trucks for only 3 dollors i just laughed. Next day they just gave it to us. They probably took it out of our checks without us knowing. lol Cheap ########. I will work for walmart as a stock boy before i ever go back to jb hunt.:biggrin_2554:

Just got a call from JB Hunt again. Said they had previously talked with me before and I told them I already signed with someone else. They kept trying to get me to say who I was going with and finally I just asked why. They wanted to compare and see if they had something better to offer and I just explained I had researched my choice and was happy with it. I asked when they had talked with me and they said "back in October". It didn't even dawn on me that was only 9 days ago.

Anyways, have any of you guys heard of them getting the name of the company you're going with and then trying to badmouth you in some way to them?

I have never tried to browbeat any information out of anybody. I usually leave that to the schedulers.

Probably one of the overzealous recruiters who saw more of those non-J.B. Hunt positions open up yesterday.

:biggrin_25524:Kinda like Amway!!! You know..... "how would you like to triple your income by only working 1 hour a day and retiring on easy street in the Bahamas, sipping cool drinks and watching hula girls on the beach. I can't tell you the name of the business or too much about it right now, but I'd like to set up a pressure-free meeting to discuss this dynamite opportunity with you about your income and your future. Now, understand, if you don't want the money or the easy furture, I'll take it and so will others. Just contact your family and friends and set up this meeting. You'll be on easy street." J.B. Hurt and Amway. Your key to the future!!!!!

Ever watch late-night infomercials? They peddle some new get-rich-quick scheme knowing some people will be foolish enough to bite their bait.

"Stuff 1,000 envelopes and make a million bucks today!" Some people are stupid enough to buy into it.

Or you could use that crap system Don Lepree peddles as an example, if he IS still peddling his scam. Like that would be on the TV if people really COULD make good money doing it. Think of what Vegas would look like if people could really go there and win big. The national guard would be set up to keep people out.

Same for those little signs advertising some kind of scheme that you see on light poles and standing in yards...if those were true, there'd be no signs, as everybody would be doing those things and nailing down that big money.

JB is just like all those scams.

I've gotten several of those over the last couple of years. Just a business card offering big miles, big pay, bonuses, etc.

No company name, just a phone number.

Then you call. And it's JB Hunt. You're exactly right. They have to hide who they are just to get phone calls.

I think the worst part of their recruiting practices is that they go after these training companies like Stevens (My first company!), Swift, Werner, etc. and recruit their drivers. They tell the rookies they only need 3 months of experience and they can come to JB and start at 34 cpm., trying to get them to make the switch before they can get enough experience on the road to know any better.

Ridiculous. That's all I can call it. Ridiculous.

Yeah Man, I Run Beverages for Canda Dry I am local and home every night and I was thinking about doing the same thing. That accout looked good to me too. I thought that they might do that. I ran over the road for werner, so I know how they are. Hey I live in Baltimore also, do you know of any good paying dedicated comapanys.
