It was already done for my personal use.
Most folks wouldn't spend the time, effort, or money. It's not marketable.
The installation only took five minutes.
Designing and building everything took weeks.
The installation literally takes less than 30 minutes.
Nothing beats the tried-and-true method of using a bow and arrow to shoot a wire up in a tree. Unfortunately it has no relevance when it comes to tractor trailers.
True. Precisely why the opinion of someone with a lifetime of experience operating from a fixed position on multiple frequencies with minimal driving experience has little if any relevance to mobile operation from a tractor trailer, which will always be the least efficient mode of communication.
How so?
Only within the realm of base operation which has no relevance to mobile applications.
That's why it's so important not to make assumptions.
True
There wouldn't be misunderstandings if nobody made assumptions. Sometimes the best thing to do is admit we've never been in a certain position and listen to the experiences of people who have.

(Edit: I see in retrospect you were mainly in response to earlier post. But not much is different)
Got you on the wrong day, huh?
Timeline for fictitious antenna system was in agreement. It ain’t plug’n play.
On the rest we don’t disagree . . your taking things to a fine point to establish disagreement changes nothing.
We’re all working from the same theory set, Amateur or Company Driver. But the differences from stationary to mobile are the first hurdle, and the RF ground plane with fleet truck the second.
Two (almost three) levels of abstraction difference. Is where otherwise WELL-INTENDED misunderstandings arise.
Yes, I’d rather “see” how a great install was done by the operator of the same truck as mine than any other approach.
If you think I was making fun of the dipole, I apologize. In fact I saw it as a dedicated attempt. You reported it successful, which I long ago accepted.
But there isn’t ANYTHING simple about it past supplies.
It’s sophistication is the problem we have: it’s a lot more than an upgrade to existing.
So when will production start? I missed that. Taking pre-orders?
Okay, smiley added (somewhere). Better?
I may attempt humor, but I’d rather you’d have seen it was done with respect. (Sophistication?). Ease up or I’ll tag you as FourStringsShorts’ alter

Stationary has the opportunity to isolate and correct problems above and beyond the constantly changing mobile ENVIRONMENT.
Name your category.
And stop off at T/A will ya? Get the humor ECM re-booted. Or dig out your YMCA Indian Guides headband with turkey feather.
(I figured you’d get a good laugh out of that antenna company name & logo. And my hat lines were killer).
Come on back around again. I have to make a 90-mile round trip thru DFW shortly to shag an empty. To get under a load just 7-miles away. Give me a head start on irritability.

As soon as you decide to start mass-producing the system I'll send you the designs for free.
