Great response for the 90 day trainer comment. I totaly agree with everyone here on this subject. I was suprised when he said 90 days after you have been on your own and a week long class on Cdl teaching, I guess. As for me I have 7 plus years of driving. I have pulled various types of trailers and I feel I have something I can pass on to someone else in the hopes of making him a safer and knowledgeable driver.
It's really funny my trainer is loving having me in his truck, because I have done pretty much everything. I to have to say thought, that if you think that your at a point where there is nothing else you can learn in this industry, then you don't need to be behind the wheel. I have learned a few tricks of the trade from my trainer, bus versa I have shared a few with him.
Anyways on our way back to the west coast. Everyone have a great one and until tomorrow. -
Have fun Ama!

ORD, have fun out there man. Before you know it you will be where this year go. Have fun and stay safe, maybe run into you somewhere out here. -
I was just thinking what you "tenured" drivers must think as you read these threads. I've been haunting this website for about a month now...and have devoured them like a Tom Clancy novel. But you guys must see the same questions...the same life stories...over and over again. Hi, I'm thinkin about gettin my CDL...and was wondering if anyone out there can tell me a few things...like what company I should choose"....that sort of thing. I'm a little embarrassed to be one of those guys..but so thankful for you guys who are wise and insightful..and kind. thanks... hope to see you on the road someday soon.

Finally! I think I have all my ducks in a row.
At least everything's "waddling" the way it's suppose to! The Explorer is packed with all my "worldly possessions" lol. Driving down to SprgMo from Guilford, ME with a 6:00 am departure planned. A 'nap" is planned for Saturday night in Clarion, PA with arrival at the Campus Inn "midnightish" Sunday. Day to de-compress Monday, work on pre-trip etc.(already have my CDL-A permit) and then a Tuesday 11/7 @ 7:00 am, report for duty as a "D" seat...lol.,
"Third time's the charm" , so they say. This will be my third time returning to OTR and I think this one is going to be the best!!! Hope that "riding the bike" cliche is true. Time will tell!
Special thanks to all of you that have posted on the various Prime threads and I hope I get to meet you all in the days, weeks and months to come!!!
I'll be the "old man" with the "Maine" or "Wicked Pissah"(probably won't wear THAT one while "On Duty") ball caps, with a gray beard and mustache! If ya see me... "Say Hiyah"!!!
BTW..."You CAN get 'there' from 'here'!" :smt046 -
It's possible I might be around Monday still, so if I am I'll say hi. -
Ya it is AMA lol Really fun when you got to figure out how to keep it on the trailer lol
Good luck old man! I might pass ya lol Im goin up to New York for a monday drop.
