I continue to be impressed with the caliber of drivers working for Prime on this thread. I just talked to my recruiter (Sylvia) about my start date. I was trying to wait until after the holidays but she said the approval was only for 3 weeks and then the application goes to storage. Does anyone know how that works? Do they have to re-run your MVR and get employment verification all over again? Just curious since if that's the case, I'll probably just pick a date before the approval lapses.

Was only trying to wait through the holidays so I wouldn't get stuck waiting on a trainer, lots of drivers try to get home during that time. Anyway, still pretty anxious to get started, whenever that might be. Any help appreciated, stay safe.

Sounds like someone is giving you the old salesman pitch "Act Now Before This Offer Is Gone"!
I have had my approval since the Beginning of October and I told them I would be able to start the week after Thanksgiving they were fine with it and thats going to be when I start. They never said anything about only being approved for 3 weeks then I go on mothballs. They just said call the week before hand so they can set-up my bus tickets.

CDL PERMIT?? I'm currently from Los Angeles, CA and today I got my CA CDL PERMIT!!! What a relief!!...My question that I have is: Will I need to take the Missouri CDL Permit test when I get to Missouri?? Or will my CA CDL PERMIT be good enough so I can start training right away?? I'm scheduled to arrive in Springfield December 5th and start Orientation December 6th...Please reply back to my questions that I have. Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thank you.

You should be good to go with the CA permit and you won't have to take the MO tests. There are a couple of states that don't transfer - check with your recruiter to make sure. You'll end up with a temporary MO CDL when you're done with the instructional phase, but don't let that worry you. Prime will get you back to CA to transfer your license there. I'd check with the license office in CA to see how that works before you leave so you don't have any surprises.
