No if you already have a permit then your fine you dont need to get another one. You will actually be better off and will be able to get right into training instead of having to mess around for a few days having to get 1..

Once you get your MO temp go back to CA dmv and pay the transfer fee, and your going to have to take your written test again possibly. Like IP said check with dmv to make sure. The only way to get a straight answer is go straight to the horses mouth.

The hiring criteria can be very fluid. There could be a dozen reasons why you were told this.

They could have simply made a new rule to suit their prefrences.

Maybe they are cutting back on new students at the first of the year?

Maybe they are tired of applicants who set up an arrival date and then change plans every other week.

How many people have come on here whining about why is it taking so long to get their application approved and then tell Prime they'll be ready to go in 2 months?

Or simply they have classes to fill in December and they are finding them tough to fill with people not wanting to miss the holidays...

If you hear the same from another recruiter, you'll have to decide on your priorities.

As I understand it CA is like IL. To transfer your CDL you have to take the written and road tests again.
