    I'm considering becoming a trucker. My dad was a trucker, and he took me along a few times, so I know a 'little' about it, but I need to know how the schooling works, in particular.

    How long will it take and what all would it involve?

    Can I be trained by someone who hires me, so I'm not out that money if I go through the schooling and no one hires me?

    Also, how much will it cost?

    look up trucking sites. they will give you info on the schooling and whether or not you qualify for scholarships. if anything call recruiters they can give you the info you need. from what i understand schooling takes between 2-4 weeks depending if you have a cdl already
