Hello and God Bless. My name is Dana. I am a 51-year-old man that is trying to get back into the Trucking Industry. I live in Northern Virginia. I have been out of the seat for around 5 years now running a Website Design and Small Home Improvement Company. I have held a Class A CDL for over 20 years. I am looking to get into the "Long Haul" part of the industry. Coast to coast and all areas in between. Flatbed or Lowboy preferred. I am a "Googler" meaning that I have joined this community looking for advice but also to become an active member to help support the community.

Welcome to TTR Picnic!!
You will find some good conversations here and hopefully good answers to questions and with your experience- you probably can give some good advise too!
Oh and we like to have a bit of FUN here too!!!
Again -Welcome to TTR!!!! -
Here's a few flatbed companies & there are many more:
System Transport (trans-system)
Melton Truck Lines
Boyd Brothers
Maverick
TMC
ATS
Western Express
PGT Trucking
They will require you to aquire additional training since you haven't driven for 5 years; that's the way it is these days. Contact the ones you're interested in and ask what you need to do. Not all flatbed companies run 48 states, so that's a question to ask. Welcome back to the trucking world.Last edited: Jan 11, 2013

Thanks everyone for the nice greetings. Thanks Chinatown for the list of companies. I have no problem with the extra training and would look forward to receiving it. I am not the "Super Trucker" I thought I was when I was in my 20's,
I am brushing up on logbook requirements as well as the latest FMCSA regs. I have been on their auto e-mail list for the last 6 or 7 years as well as the NTBS. Thanks again everyone for the warm welcomes and information!
