    Schneider veteran here....

Schneider does have a lot to offer to a new driver.

But -- be advised -- your time out on a trainer's truck is short -- compared to other carriers that hire/train new drivers.

Schneider will expect a lot out of you, in a hurry.

If you still have kids at home, maybe a dedicated run would be best. Most of those mega carriers have those runs, Target, Walmart, O’riellys, etc.

Right, need at least 3 mos. experience, except for Dollar General account. No one right out of cdl school should accept a Dollar General account, because that can be a career ender. Avoid any account with the word "Dollar" in it.

I've been doing quite a bit of research and it really looks like I'll have to take whatever I can get at first, so I can get some training. Then it looks like after about 3,6,12 months- more and more opportunities open up. That's just what I have seen so far. I applied to every company you've recommended here :) @Chinatown So I really appreciate all of your help. I officially start school on Feb 26th! So I'm really excited!

    Not just Dollar General....

Avoid any job or account that would have you delivering to ANY of the so-called "dollar" stores: Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, etc.

For a new driver -- they are career killers.
