Hi folks! First off, I'm not a trucker. My daddy used to drive a lumber truck for pick ups and deliveries from my uncle's business to the L.A. area. When I was little, I'd sometimes get to go with him on Saturdays. He'd lash up a bunch of short 2x4s with a towel over them so I could sit next to him and be able to look out the windows. Of course, this was the '60s, and you could do things like that. Those were some of the best times I spent with my dad. So I have a strong respect and fondness for truckers. As for myself, I'm a middle-class American with a great love of country.. 'nuff said.
I joined this for a couple of reasons. One, I have been interested in what is actually going on with this supposed 'highway from Canada to Mexico' and how truckers feel about it. It's not exactly making news, you know? Two, well, I'll get into that later when I see how this works out.

Hiya sadhart, nice to meet ya darlin. sound a bit like my hubby ya do. He used to go with his daddy from the time he was 2, his daddy used to drive a 5 star general 2 stick
lol he has very fond memories as well. Is why he wanted to become a trucker himself. Know what ya mean about your first question there. They sure dont seem to be talkin bout that to much on the news huh? kinda keepin it hush hush. Hubby always said they need to build a super highway east to west and no 4 wheelers allowed on it lol
