    I am going to be finished with trucking school next month. I called western express today they say they have a regional run to offer me for new england she said once when I get my own truck I can be home every weekend and I will bring home 700 to 900 dollers a week and get 2500 miles or higher a week as a company driver. Just seeing what other people think????

    Maybe it'll be different for you, but as I am currently driving for them, I can say this. It's like what they say when you go into the military...don't believe much of what your recruiter tells you. I too was told I'd take home $700-900 each week, and would be able to average at least 2500 miles a week. Well, I think since June 3rd when I started, I've had 2 weeks out of that time that I hit or exceeded 2500 miles for that week. The freight has been SLOW and hard to get, at least in the 11 western division. I've been sittin on this whopping 450 mile run since I picked it up on Friday. It delivers 0900 am on Monday!

    Good luck, and no, I'm not the only driver in this situation, we have several. Oh yeah, you can probably plan on sitting a day or two waiting for a load to pick up.

    This company has been failing its drivers miserably.
