    Here goes, first post

Got a couple years experience driving in the oil patch back when I was 18; I'm now on the downward slide into 50.

For the past 25+ years I have been a commercial pilot, fixed wing and helicopters. I have gone about as far as I can as a pilot without turning into a full time desk jockey, and am looking at some sort of semi-retirement in the next few years.

About 20 years ago I bought a small farm with my wife and have been slowly paying it off. We mainly grow hay and raise horses.

I've kept up with the medicals to keep my class 1 current and have always said that it could be a back up just in case. Now I am hoping to combine trucking and farming as a sort of semi-retirement.

Not sure how much posting I will be doing, I have spent the past few days reading many interesting posts, and might throw in a question here and there.

So, keep it safe, and thanks for putting together such a nice forum.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Welcome to the boards Dave. Years ago I took some flying lessons and loved every bit of it. Just got too expensive.

Glad to have you with us...
