How is everyone doin? Wannabe here, thanks for all the great info on this forum. I have already changed my view on a driving career, my father in law has been driving for many years and is out for a month or more. I have a family that I would prefer to not leave for weeks/months at a time and have been keeping truckin as a last resort. I have done the away thing before(commercial remodeling) 2 to 6 weeks at a time and since lurkin here for a bit, I think it might be possible to swing the truckin job. I understand now that some drivers want to be out more and can,he has since admitted that is his case but has swore me to secrecy.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

There are plenty of trucking jobs where you can be home every night or weekends or home 3 or 4 nights a week. Check Careerbuilder and Indeed websites.

    Beverage companies
    Food service
    Fuel haulers
    Cement
Tanker companies that deliver dry bulk cement to cement companies.
    & others
