Road atlas to find the city and check google maps sattelite view and plan my route from the nearest highway. Make multiple routes in case i miss my turn also an exit route to get back out of there after being emptied. If uncertain about amything then call the customer. But understand sometimes you have to take those directions with a grain of salt as well because they may not take into account ur in a truck

Ahh the days of pay phones, collect calls, 1-800 numbers, 1-900 numbers even! The joy of waiting behind a line of people to call someone...The thrill of making a collect call and trying to get your message through without them accepting the charge...

Though I did see one a couple weeks ago. I wish I had taken a photo. It was like seeing an old friend.

Only if you don’t verify the gps directs before you go, or just know better as a result of many years experience.

Most GPS users don’t have years of experience.

Punch address in to a made for truckers Garmin GPS.
Check google maps to verify route makes sense, location is accurate and get a satellite view.
    Follow GPS and read signs.
I haven’t used an atlas for navigation since CDL school and have not had any issues, nor will I in the future.

When your Dispatcher assigns a load to the driver the assignment had a customer address. Type that address into your truck GPS and or enter the address into Google Maps.
