Dozens of companies will hire you; keep the applications going.
Submit several more and ignore any "experience required" on the websites. Most companies are bending their own hiring rules these days due to shortage of high quality applicants. Some companies go a little outside their hiring area if the applicant looks good.
Tyson Foods - 70 mph trucks
Magnum Ltd.
Halvor Lines
Decker Truck Line
Freymiller
System Transport
Keim TS - big studio sleepers & a Kansas terminal.
Navajo Express
A&R Transport
H.O. Wolding
Trimac Transportation
Wil-Trans
TransAm
Holmes Trucking - Wichita
Roehl Transport
Valley Floral Co. Inc.
Maverick Transportation
Jim Palmer Trucking
Super Service
Shaffer Trucking
Western Dairy Transport
Pride Transport
Mesilla Valley Transportation
Plenty more that will hire you. Submit lots of applications and choose from the job offers.Last edited: Jan 4, 2015

It probably has more to do with having three teens. Do they live with you or their mom? If by 'hometime' you mean home on weekends, Keim can do that but they need to know up front. Many loads go south out of Sabetha, Marysville, Med Lodge, etc that you could pick up on Friday and take to Ok or Texas Sunday night. Med Lodge is dropnhook. You'll also see from their site that many of the drivers are elderly and have been around a while. Safety bonus and other bonus programs are real and give you an extra $800-$1,000 every 6 months if you save fuel and don't wreck anything, so if you have any ambition and know how to plan you can make $50,000 a year pretty easy.
