    Hello,

My nick is Little Princess. My other nick is Ningi. Both are long stories. I have used Little Princess as a CB nick since before the deregulation of the Citizens Band Radio by the FCC. The lifetime registration of the nick was a birthday present, the first time my father bought a CB to keep us safe and informed, whenever we took a trip longer than the next town. On vacation Trips, he enjoyed all the news, traffic, and conversation, not to mention directions that we would recieve and pass on from "Drivers" on the road.

As for my becomming a "Trucker", it was simply a natural step towards independence, after a long and worthless marriage. Being a new divorcee, with absolutely no current marketable skills, who has had a liscense in some form, since my first cdlc was issued at the age of 19, it was simple to chose a field of employment that was simply an extension of something I enjoyed doing anyway...Driving:biggrin_255:

Had I known, that this "Professional Field" of employment, had bottomed out to the amount of ....well, let us just agree that I am not the only driver on the road, who thinks that re-regulating the industry, would be in this professions best interest. Not that capitalism should be nipped in the bud, but the criminal element that has led to 4 decades of loss of credibility, professionalism, and just basic common courtesy, IS what should have been nipped in the bud. Irreguardless of what "Bedroom Culture" was prevalent at the time, it is the behavior of the Driver, On The Road, In The Workplace, that set's the example of what true Professionalism is.

It does not mean that I would not have chosen something that was better than a cardboard box, begging on the streets. In many ways, This profession is better than sitting in an office making $100,000-150,000, since both office and driver professions both have the same earning capacity, being a driver is alot less stressful. It all depends on how you view the Open road, through the Window, in front of you :) unlike that poor :biggrin_2553: in the cubicles next to you ^.^
:)biggrin_2554: OMG! So that is what a Purple Mountain Peak Looks Like!!!!)

As a Profession, I haven't been in this side of the industry long enough to have the "documented" experience that would allow me to be choosy over who hires me. While this is an unfortunate event, especially starting over in the workplace, it does not negate any experience I have prior to obtaining a CDLA.

Now that I have bored the entire board ^.^ This is Little Princess, signing off until next time, when I can get back on the road. :biggrin_25525:
