    thanks for the tips guys. i've been going on the weekends and hve one more to go and then test the following. today felt a lot better than yesterday til we went on the road. my shifting was awful this weeks for some reason. i think i let my nerves get to me today a bit. OTRguy you said blind and right side, is that what our instructor is calling "offset backing"? i was told for test day we will have pre trip then straight line then offset to left and right and then the tester will pick either alley dock, or one of the two parallel. we don't have to do serpentine here in TN.

    AfterShock Thanks this.

    Ah-HA!
    Suspense.
    I love it.

    No, not the suspense wonderin' whether or not you passed, I have a confident feelin' you did. What has me on the edge of my seat is wonderin' what you had for dinner that takes a day to consume.
    Did the fare include adult beverages?
    :smt030 I'm thinkin' champagne, :smt047 --- Often present during celebrations. :occasion5::smt109
    That would be a clue.
    Ya reckon. :smt036

    Not sure what yu mean by the "two outside cones" We were taught not to look at the cones till we had completed our task, They are not going to be cones in the real deal, I was talking about in the right or left mirror, Look down at the landing gear where thev supports go up to the center cross member that is middle then give it 6-8 inches more and it should go in like a glove. Let me know if this helps.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25525:

    still not exactly clear of what you mean trey but it's been a long day, i'll look at your post again tomorrow and try again. i appreciate the input though. i'm sure i'll use the pull ups to get it in there, i've been trying like hell to get it without using them and getting frustrated but each week i get a little better understanding of what the trailer does.

    ok trey david, read your post again today and i think what you mean is once i'm going in the spot at a bit of an angle , when the landing gear is at the rear of the truck in front of you then cut it. so if i'm blind side cut it a little to the right to get the trailer going left and then cut it to the left to get the tractor in the exercise. that is making sense in my head right now anyway. i think i was not letting the trailer go into the spot enough so when i cut the wheel the trailer back kept coming back out. i'm sure i'll figure it out this next weekend. it's the last one before my official test so i guess i have to. i'm usually really good under pressure so we'll see. thanks again though
