Have you tried glipizide, glyburide, and/or metformin? Both medications are 4.00 a month prescriptions at Walmart in generic. They can be taken either together or seperately. Sometimes you have to push these Dr's for medications that you can AFFORD rather than ones they want to prescribe to please the pharmaceutical companies.
