Speaking of more new things for Acerts, is there any new after market turbos that are a bit less restrictive?
I'm getting to the limit of the std turbos.
I can make the exhaust temp go thruogh the roof if I keep into it long enough.
I think slightly bigger turbos might help as long as they are not stupid big and make the thing too laggy.
I can put up with power from 1350 to 2000.
At the moment it is 1150 to 1900 makes good boost and torque.
Any ideas???
Tony

I don't know of any direct fit aftermarket turbos as of yet...but I'm sure Turbonetics, BW, and a few others are looking at his area already. I gotta say I have heard of a few guys with 1000+HP tunes and no EGT issues. Currently I'm running a 800HP (I haven't dynoed it yet to confirm the actual rating) and the highest my EGT gets is about 1000* on a long 5-8 mile pull. Now my oil and coolant will rise up a bit faster than the normal BD tune. What setup are you running cause the only EGT issues I have heard of from a ACERT is when the Pitts Power box is ran. If this is the case look into a tuned ECM from PDI or a Bully Dog downloader.

It is a Bully Dog tune, as well as injector mods ala FarCall.
The injector mods are worth abouth the same power increase as the Bully Dog, so I am assuming it's up 750hp at least.
Maybe I am a bit scared as it's already had a turbo at 20,000KM!
There are a couple of big hills around (1 in 8), and the other day it was 35deg C outside and the exhaust temp got to 680C before I got out of it and the engine temp buzzer went off at 120 c.
It has straight through mufflers, 100 psi fuel pressure, fuel wire as well.
Is 1000hp reliable in an Acert as the have very high static compression, I am worried about head gaskets? -
Do you get 800hp with the Bully Dog tune?
Did you ask them for a special one?
Or are you making the power with other mods? -
I ran the typical BD power/economy tune for the first few months of having the unit. I had BD do a custom tune for my sled pulling times in the summer. But since I have recieved the tune I have been running it (about 1 week). The tune itself is supose to be 800HP then I got a shimmed pump, fuel temp harness, and a 200gph FASS. In the future I'm gonna look into swapping out the injectors for some 58's once I do some more research on this. I can't believe that you are seeing EGT readings that high. Did you tell BD about the injector mod...this could effect the tune more than you know. I would love to talk to the guys that have done 1000HP with a ACERT and hear their thoughts...heck maybe I'll just try it once when I'm on the dyno.

farcall, are u sayn we can't put 6 trim files the same. I was goin to try 5005A6999BB trim file.
-
The later ECM's on the ACERT wont allow the same trim file to be used on more than one injector.. This is to stop people making the mistake of using 6 trims the same.
But there is always ways around things if you know and it is possible to use the same file on all six... but I would never do that as it would be crazy unless you have six cloned injectors that flowed exactly the same and that's like winning lotto.
Attach the trim file to a post and ill take a look at it and see what its good for. -
far call,if can't do trim files. what tweakin can we do,done driver reward. help some, not good enough. thank you ,cracker

Not sure I quite understand what you mean Crackup13!
Maybe you could elaborate a bit more? -
far call , I mean turning off the driver incentive or reward program in ECM in customer parameter. Thank You, Cracker
