Sorry for the late reply-cracked egr cooler!!!
-
That's a suggestion too!

-
I don't see how a cracked egr cooler would cause this.
-
Well I will let you know if it cured the problem. I sure hope it does esp after 2206.00. Picking it up and will be in NM mountains in few hrs, so will know for sure.
-
Well, if the cooler was cracked it needed to be replaced anyways at least.
-
Thank you.
I called you on just this problem this morning and this was the answer you gave me. Now I just have to get it to you when you have time...
-
It was code 39. But I dropped the truck back to the dealer today. After putting another 3k on the truck since monday, I hear this annoying whinning sound coming into the cab. They will look at it tomorrow. They should be looking at it tomorrow. I stopped at another place to get it checked out and was told that it might be the EGR valve. Really starting to hate the EGR BS.
But all the other symptoms did go away and the MPG did go back up to as before. -
Hi all
I got the same problem and when I stopped using engine brakes, every time I would accelerate, the check engine light would come on and it would sound like a lower scale of engine brakes was on.
I stoped to check it but after a restart, no more problem.
I had 4 faults with the two of them disappearing before i had the chance to write them down and the two that stayed on were abs related.
Truck working fine now
Any idea?
Thank you
