Where are you in Ohio? Lots of drivers on this forum from Ohio can give you leads for local jobs.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

If you go local, and there are local jobs for newbies, many OTR companies will want you to ride with a trainer before giving you a truck for OTR. If you get local experience, you will quickly show the trainer you are ready for OTR. Most OTR newbies quit before they complete a year. In the past 1 year OTR was a requirement for any local job. Not any more. As long as you learn to back, go around corners, and maybe shift a manual transmission, you will learn enough to make money. You can always do OTR later if you discover you need to roam. Some do, some don't.AbelAxe and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
