Figure out what you want to do .
If you want to be local I would plan a path towards pulling tankers. Or getting on with an ltl carrier
The yard dog thing doesn’t sound the best for you . You’re going to miss out on a ton of learning experience you will need later on by not being on roadways.. and within a month you’ll have the routine down and probably be over it. Why waste your time. Sure you’ll learn how to drop and hook trailers and back up, but that comes with time anyways

I am favoring the Keller transport at the moment because I want to do OTR for atleast a year or two for the experience. Also, they have a pet policy so I could bring my dog with me. They start out at 800 a week minimum pay and bump you up to 900 after one year. 125 a day for training for 10,000 miles.
