you may also have to go thru a SAP program (on your dime) as well....

it will take you some money to get back your CDL, when the 3 years is up, up to and including a court appearance, with a lawyer, and most likely another round of CDL schooling..

in fact, as a condition of getting your CDL back, that might be your states law...go back to CDL school..

    good luck

    I did a stupid thang
    Thinking with my wang
    Drinking beer with this girl
Stopped by a cop named earl

    Tried to touch my nose
    And fell to my toes
    Won’t drink anymore
    After my failing score

I get you, didn’t realize it was FMcSA that got him and not just a normal judge.

(Beat is Fast tempo, like Johnny be good)

Well late one night coming down 75...
I drank a few beers just to keep me alive .....
I looked down at that needle, Said 102....
so i hit that ol brake pedal....
Too darn late, I was in some deep doo doooooooo.....

    That bear pulled me over...
Said boy I shoulda known it was you..
Ya got beer cans strung all the way back to Chatta choo choooooo.....

Now here in the jail house I set....
Bubba over in the corner lickin his lip...
I called my employer to throw my bail...
Dispatch said they impounded my rig and told me to go to helllllll....

    Chorus

    Oh won’t somebody hire me
Now that I’m a much drier me
    I now believe in sobriety
    Oh won’t somebody hire me

I dont see anything happening early OP.
I got mine in my car 20 years ago on a perfect mvr and I only lost my licence for 9 months but it was a full 2 years before I was insurable in a commercial vehicle again.
Back then if you knew the right people they could hide you from they're insurance carrier which got me back to work at 9 months but it dont work that way anymore .

Sorry OP, if you were in the driver's seat and hauling hazmat and got nailed, then I am not one of those people who are so forgiving and should have lost your license for life - if I am wrong, then I apologize.

It’s amazing how some people offer a career, while others want to end his career.

I would have imagined he did it to himself.

I was a drinker once a time in a 18 wheeler with no airride on bad roads. That got stopped and very well.

I also want to try to balance the bad with the good that if the punishment of suspension made him finally understand he really wants to drive again and misses it then it's served its purpose. Maybe. We'll see.
