Wiring has the least warranty unless you buy a better warranty, most warranty is 6 months to 1year from in-service date. most shops do an overlay I always push for a harness epically if it's under warranty, an overlay is just a patch that will come back to haunt you.

Thank you all! Apparently when I had my after treatment system serviced a few weeks ago, the technician failed to clean the tube leading to the differential pressure sensor. This caused a bad signal from the sensor which led to the brain sending a code through my lights rather than the dash. This in turn caused the FCAN code on the dash! What a stupid system!

Forgive me for being blunt........someone is feeding you a line of garbage. There is absolutely no connection between the warning/complaint and the correction.

But hey if it's working now.......fingers crossed.

Forgive me for being just as blunt.... You obviously don't know how these paccar computer systems work but that's ok, I wouldn't expect most people to know

Lol. Hes forgotten way more then you would ever know. A sensor issue on the a-can wont kill the f can.

I also wonder why there are so few real mechanics hanging around this site with attitudes like ^

I hate modern trucks because of these ####ty datalinks. it's not easy to find datalink related problems.

Once you understand how the systems work together it really is straight forward. Having access to the vehicle schematics is a must for troubleshooting, otherwise your throwing a dart with a blindfold on.

Just imagine the miles of additional wiring that would be needed without them?

Glen, Glen, Glen. Before you go shooting off your mouth. Educate yourself on the different member status I.D.'s located under the poster name. The Man who you think doesn't know how the Paccar systems work is someone who has close to 1000 helpful posts and works on Paccar engines everyday for a living. You as the owner of a Paccar product that was and will be looking for guidance in the future just bit the hand of the guy that we all lean on for Paccar help. Poor Glen......

I will be happy to have 10 more miles of wires in the truck instead of CAN, J1939,.... ####. I know how datalinks work. Diagnostic of failed datalink is hard. You mentioned vehicle schematics . )))) OK got it. It's a message. Something like only dealer's techs can fix it because only they have access to schematics.
