If carriers had done their jobs and moved freight in a timely cost effective manor brokers and brokerages would never have been conceived.

Poor person, you came to the worst place there is too ask that question. I am retired so I will try to help you. Do some more research. Never lie about a load. EVER! Never treat a driver differently than your family, We make your living, as you provide ours. When I say NO, I mean No. Drivers watch YOU as much as you watch them. Don't be a money hound. We compare notes. If Your Honest, you will make it. If not, We will eat your pocket book. Word by C.B. Can bless, or Kill A broker.

Not all brokers are bad, there are some good honest ones out there. They can be hard to find at times, but I think what he was talking about is the one's that take far to much off the top out of pure greed. And it's those bottom suckers that ruin it for everybody, brokers and truckers alike.

And learn the difference between a LTL (partial) and Full load.

If your freight is going to tie up over half of my load space and allotted weight, please don't expect me to haul it for 50 cents per mile "because it's only a partial load"

Spend some time in a truck, and get a good handle on what it is youre asking these people to do.

My rule of thumb is, I dont ask anyone to go do something I wouldnt want to do myself.

Ive worked in this industry my entire life, started loading trucks, then driving them, dispatched, then moved into sales, and brokerage.
If you want to be a reputable broker, youve got to have good work. Dont grab the cheap #### just to make a quick buck.
