I'd send him a food voucher but I absolutely wouldn't send any money.

They could have owned this truck for 20 years without a breakdown... but they would never gain the experience & knowledge they are getting now.
If they ever start over, they'll do a little more research & be better prepared .... or just not go into business.

Sometimes experience is hard. Sometimes knowledge is expensive.

Guess we won't hear from her again since no one volunteered to put him up in the penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton with Prime Rib or breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There are a couple of motels and various fast food places on the other side of the freeway by TruckWorld in Hubbard. Just a short walk from the KW shop.

"The WIFE" said he was an independent trucker. She may or may not know what that means. Since he doesnt have enough dough to get a motel or a ride Im guessing probably a LP. And likely his first trip out in his "new" truck... (what I was thinking when I posted that).

Sounds as if he’s wanting to stay with the truck and look over the shoulders of the mechanics. With a warranty job, that can be WEEKS!

That would be a much more logical explanation.

That's the way I see it. I wish I was wrong. Has anybody checked any of the other trucker sites to see if she's running an ad in different venues?

I got stuck on a warranty job. It took 3 weeks to get me back going. I wanted to go home, but the company wanted me to wait.

No one in their right mind would be short on cash and looking at paying a motel stay and food that’s going to cost @$2000 or better.
