The load he deadheads for is the loads I got him! They have shorter loads we could run during the week but they wont is the problem.

You can scream run me or I quit. But the Nation is leaning into winter and holidays economy is kicking in to drag a little bit on all trucking.

This is where savings and patience comes into play. Don't be stupid and run off. What you can do is quietly and I mean quietly look for another flatbed operation to run for.

Freight is SLOOOOOW right now. Everyone is suffering. If the company relies on dedicated accounts, it could be even worse. Patience is all we as drivers can really practice right now. Too many these days see that greener grass, drink the recruiter's kool-aid and then end up in the same situation at 1 cpm more than their old job at the bottom rung on the ladder.

We run dedicated accounts, no brokers, and it's really been slowing bad the last couple weeks. My trucks are usually still busy for another few weeks (mid-November) before the freight starts slowing. It's tough because I get my drivers home for the weekends, seems like we are busy first half of the week then it stops. Makes it tough when they want to be home for the weekend, can't send them far. I say be patient, what part of the world are you running in?

No I'm gonna make it my life's work to not drive for a big company again.
My only goal is to drive a Pete 379 or KW900 decked out in chicken lights running all night through those two lane highways. :)

    RedRover and Zeviander Thank this.
