I have used broken up skids behind and in front of drives before with success.
Ice melt, kitty litter, sand... all effective.
Glad you got out! -
i dont know if someones behind you in a spot can back up against your wagon an push ya.... done that many times..... works well if your batteries dead too to bump start
-
yep, i had to do that once in a bad dirt lot. backed under the MT and there was a rut under my drive. had to spend 20 minutes beating a pallet apart to shove under it.

Glad you got out. I carry 4 of those rubber pads that Rolls of Paper sit on to keep them from sliding in the trailer. then I slide them as far under each drive as I can, then I Lock the Diff. and crawl out. so far this winter I have had to do that 2 times..... Worked well.
Roadmedic Thanks this. -
i have thought about keeping some of those for just that purpose. so, it does work, huh?
-
Yes they do, and what is nice is you can roll them up to 4 small rolls or one big one. and I have been told that If you are in a real bind, pour the bleach on the one side of them that is NOT against your tire. Never tried that though. I seem to think that if you can't spin the bleach then it would be pointless. But the 2 times I used them, they have been life savers.
OK. exaggerated a lot, but they sure helped.panhandlepat Thanks this. -
Or, you can just buy a jug of this Prestone stuff and never worry again. Honestly, it is THAT good.

Seeing as you were in PA, next time grab a couple Lot Lizards. I always find lots of traction on the wrinkles and rolls. Not to mention they probubly got there in a 4x4 truck that can pull you out, LOL
Eskimo6804 and panhandlepat Thank this. -
