Taller, better antennas will help versus stock (I was in an 880 in 2017). Skipshooter brand, and I think 7’ works.
Help I need a CB.

It isn't bad, actually, not as solid to hold as the Astatic, but it works.IluvCATS Thanks this. -
LmaoSlowmover1 and IluvCATS Thank this. -
Unlike that newly married couple bickering on another thread today, this was made purely in fun.
Ding-Dang straight I’d want waaay more “service” . . . for $900.

Is there a list of reputable CB shops out west, or can I get a recommendation? I feel like my range is maybe the size of a truck stop. I’d like to pay someone to check it out.
I also believe the 880 has a SWR meter. Guess I should read the owners manual.
@Slowmover1 pics posted above. Thanks again -
Research. Threads on shops.

@Slowmover1
I did the calibration that the unit has. The SWR gauge after that reads at 2.
Thoughts? -
Go and have your antenna checked with an antenna analyzer.
Meteorgray, otterinthewater, Slowmover1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
First, check that all connections at radio and antenna are snug. Same for mike and power.
For some background see FIRESTICK COMMUNICATIONS for How To Tune SWR. They’ve a .pdf and some basic reading.
Same from Clays Radio Shop.
As you know, most drivers are east of The Big Muddy. So no telling from us where is someone on the Wrong Coast who can check your antenna system.Meteorgray and otterinthewater Thank this.
