If you're sitting somewhere stuck, you're already blocking traffic. Might as well make sure it doesn't get any worse.

Man I'm on ebay right now lookin for cones..LOL. I'm gonna hafta side with you on that on. I've adopted a "whatever it takes to not up again" attitude. I'll hire cheerleaders and local thugs to entice ppl to stop or if that doesn't work brute force and initimidation are always good. :biggrin_255:

Here is how I would look at this. If they wanted to fire you or at least put the fear of God in you then your first load after the incident would have been straight to a terminal. The fact that they still trust you to drive until you happen to come by a terminal speaks volumes. Learn to read what is left unsaid by the Safety department. :biggrin_25525:

To get in their good graces you can offer to cover part or all of their share of the damages. If they deduct $25 per week for the next 6 months then you just bought a job until that is paid off at least. :biggrin_25525:

I spoke to someon the record with my company who told me:
Property damage / parking lot accidents are expected from new drivers the first 6 months.
Unless the damage reaches the couple thousand dollar area then only the DDC will be needed. Parking lot accidents even with other vehicles (t/t)
    are expected.

Now when you have a moving accident on the road/highway especially involving other vehicles things go into a whole nother ballpark.......:biggrin_2552:

I try to tell my students, that if your opinion is ( I think I can make it ) than you probably can't..........so don't try.
If you know you can make it it will probably be close.......It takes awhile to get the hang of your radius for turns to know when it is possible.

When planning on going into close quaters.............always plan your way out before you enter.......even if you have to park on the street with flashers on get out and walk in..............those few moments on the front end will save you heartache on the back end............

Good luck.......take your time with your decissions........it will make a world of difference.

    All companies seem to differ.

My company has a three incident in three years policy. It could be as small as a scratch on a vehicle & two speeding or maybe a mailbox, a scratch, & a ticket.... any type of three incidents in a three year period & you're out.

Also for those who think that they've gotten away with some form of property damage because no one saw them, you'd be surprised how much is picked up on security cameras.

Well technically you are not a traffic control person or a law enforcment officer it is illegal for any joe blow to set up cones on the road.

You can be cited for blocking traffic and you do not have the right to make or ask traffic move for you.
You are the profesional driver you either learn to drive and turn the truck properly or quit driving.
