So I been looking for a donor sleeper truck, mainly on auction sites.
That way I have new suspension easier to get parts for, pre def etc but air bags etc.
If I find a truck with a good motor it could solve my problems….

the sleeper frame will give me the length I need
    Any thoughts on this….

You’re not gonna clean that up so it will run, as stated you need a machine shop or another core/good used runner.

It’s a 50/50 crap shoot but I do agree it could solve several upcoming issues all at the same time. Usually pulling the bunk off of non integrated cab models is no big deal. Finding a non integrated cab these days is sorta tough though.

I just need a frame to mount my 84 cabover on, something newer easier to find parts for. But now I need a motor with the frame so looking at sleepers so no frame stretch needed
But I’m keeping my motor I would have it redone eventually

I think you'll have much more difficulty trying to find parts for the cab/interior than you would for the frame.

If the rails and crossmembers are solid you would probably be further ahead buying an air ride cut off and installing that over swapping the cab and engine, rad and transmission over to a new frame.

A frame swap like that could get complicated in a hurry. A cut off is a much better option if you’re wanting to keep the cabover.
