help me appraise this truck

    I was thinking $40K or better if it had a C15 but with that engine I have no idea. What does it get for fuel mileage? Sounds like alot of truck for most work.

    C16, simply put, is a C15 stroker motor.

    Also, if I'm not deadheading to my next load I'm right at 80,000(that I'll admit to)

    So I could use the torque. I need the ground clearance so 24.5 tall rubber would be perfect and I'm normally cruising between 65~80mph..... so the gear ratio gets me in that range.

    All things considered it's about the perfect truck for my application.

    How come you need the ground clearance?

    Places I go.... some of these scales man. There's a feed mill in Fort Worth I'm almost scraping the ground if I don't get just the right angle.

    sounds like a very desirable truck that will sell quick on the open market if your buddy isn't too crazy with the price. Let him tell you what he would like to get out of it and go from there, don't make an offer first because if it's too low there will be hard feelings. Buying a truck that you know the past history is always worth paying a bit more IMO.
