Depends a lot on what the person did IMO. I have a driver and mechanic working for me that did time. Both have been here a long time, and they are perfect employees IMO. Murder or armed robbery would for me be deal breakers on hiring. But some things to me are not a big deal, and if they did their time, they paid their punishment in full. Then i ask if they are remorseful, and if yes, then lets move on and forget the past.

I am going to orientation this Monday with a company and I talked to someone in HR just to make sure everything on my background was okay. He assured me it was as for them, they have hired people who were still on parole and probation and have done things way worse than me. So on that note, I think I'm okay! Fingers crossed guys and thanks so much!

I so hate to say this, but if things don't work out, call May Trucking. They are very forgiving and are very flexible on background checks.....Just a thought.
