I didn't think it was to professional how they handled it either and yes it was a waste of time. I obviously wasted there time and they wasted mine as well. It seemed a bit unorganized. They paid for my travels yes but I ended up having to get an Uber Sunday night because I wouldn't have made it to orientation if I didn't. My bus was an hour late to Knoxville, TN so they had to reroute and I would have gotten to Chattanooga at 8 but orientation was at 6:30. They said that they would reimburse me but not now I guess because Im not employed by them.
HELP Me! Please.

plenty of threads on this site, where people go to orientation, then get sent home.
this is as common an occurrence then you changing your underwear.. -
No, lol. I just got my license Nov. 9th. So that makes me feel better if it happens like that. It really had me concerned. But hey, that makes me feel alot better.

Generally when someone gets sent home it falls into 3 reasons. The first one is they can't pass the physical. Followed by what happened to the OP. "left hand not communicating with the right" and the person lied on the app and it was discovered. Also the internal politics of these large carriers is horrid. Everybody is "in charge" HR sends a prehire letter and then somebody at safety round files it. I have sit and watched safety critters and HR critters almost come to blows and have to be separated. Honestly I am surprised with some of these carriers anything gets done. It's empire building at it's worse. Unless you have spent time on that side of Trucking you have no idea just how political it is.

Brandy, I can't help but being blunt about this, you need to stop using one company as a problem for you, there are a lot of companies out there where you can apply to.
Not trying to be mean or any crap like that, but if you read the threads in the past year about drivers not finding work, it seems that I have a problem with new drivers they don't take the initiative and just apply to everyone you can find.
AND from my point of veiw as a fleet owner, your felony isn't the issue, it is your driving record, you are a high risk for a new driver to be hired. I could not hire you because of the tickets.
AND that company won't tell you that, they as most do lie about the reasons.
So I recommend you start with searching trucking companies (China also is a great source for names), making a list of them, applying for ALL OF THEM by just going down the list. I would even apply to those who say "need five years experience", it won't cost you a dime to apply, and you have plenty of time - right?
Of course YOU will get rejections but so what, DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL ... you will find at least a few who will give you a chance so you can get a job to get yourself in the door and move forward.Lepton1, Dan.S, misterG and 1 other person Thank this. -
The OP presents a host of "problems". This person just recently got a CDL. This person has a generally recent felony, and that felony is considered violent. << Think double whammy here. This person has 3 citations on their MVR. Then there is an administrative suspension. Most any carrier that does NOT self underwrite insurance is going to pass on the OP, just as @Ridgeline said. The best advice I have seen for this OP as well as the countless others that have made these help comments is stay at it. Put in applications all over. Be prepared to work local if you get a chance. There are jobs out there. They most likely are not going to be the better ones. You might have to drive a POS tractor for a while. But @Ridgeline did speak the truth.
